Bell Schedule is a Chrome extension that helps students and teachers track their school bell schedule. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Data Collection

Bell Schedule collects and stores the following information:

  • School name – The name you enter for your school
  • Schedule configurations – Period names, start times, and end times that you create
  • Day assignments – Which schedule applies to each day of the week

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome’s built-in storage API (chrome.storage.sync). This means:

  • Your data stays on your device and synced Chrome browsers
  • We do not have access to your data
  • We do not transmit your data to any external servers
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties

Data Sync

If you are signed into Chrome, your schedule settings may sync across your Chrome browsers using Google’s sync infrastructure. This is handled entirely by Chrome and Google’s privacy policies apply to that sync process.

Permissions

This extension requires the following permissions:

  • Storage – To save your schedule settings locally
  • New Tab Override – To display your schedule when you open a new tab

Third-Party Services

The extension includes a Google search bar on the new tab page. When you use this search feature, your search queries are sent directly to Google and are subject to Google’s privacy policy.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by:

  • Uninstalling the extension
  • Clearing your browser’s extension data

Children’s Privacy

This extension is designed for use in educational settings and may be used by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the schedule configuration data stored locally on their device.
