Empowering Students with Data šŸ§ šŸ“Š

Too often, we collect tons of data in education, but don’t always present it in ways that are meaningful to the people who matter most: our students.

That’s why I believe in being intentional, not just about what we measure, but how we design reports that put data in students’ hands. Clear visuals, simple breakdowns, and eye-catching layouts make the difference between a report that gets skimmed… and one that inspires action.

Here’s a sample of a weekly ā€œRISE Reportā€ I create to help students at one of the schools I support track:

  • Their GPA and attendance šŸ“ˆ

  • Misconduct trends āš ļø

  • Progress across multiple weeks of class grades šŸ«

It’s designed to be student-friendly and easy to interpret at a glance. Because how something looks matters just as much as the data itself. If we want students to take ownership, we have to make it accessible, attractive, and empowering.

āž”ļø Let’s continue building systems that treat students like the stakeholders they are.

Design matters. Data matters. Ownership matters.
